Zigo mobiles, launched in June 2012, have been embraced by the Sri Lankan customers for the quality, durability and reliability of the mobile handsets, offering a feature rich ‘value for money’ mobile device.

Zigo mobiles offer a wide range of mobile units to its customers ranging from the entry level phones to feature packed smart phones. EON 5i been the top range 4.3” screen touch phone by beating the competition for phones in medium price point.

Recently the company expanded its vibrant mobile collection by introducing mobile tabs to the market. The latest addition, the Nebula-7.1 Tab, is the best value for money offer in the market. The product has become a success and it continues to grow by reaching greater heights and reaching new customers every day.

With the success of Zigo, the company is now gearing up to introduce another groundbreaking technology, which will reach all mobile phone customers as ‘Zpay’.

Imovation Solutions Ltd. CEO Thusha P. Weerasooriya commented: “With technological enhancements being developed so rapidly, the world has now moved to an era of mobile commerce, a single mobile device which will help the consumer complete any task. So as a first step of the eco-system, Zigo mobiles were introduced; now we are in the process of setting up the m-commerce platform ‘Zpay.’”

‘Zpay,’ the first proximity-based ‘dial and tap’ mobile payment system, will be shortly introduced to the country. With the ‘dial and tap,’ customers can complete their transactions in a matter of seconds. This cutting edge technology will revolutionise Sri Lankan mobile payments and bring absolute convenience to the consumers.

‘Zpay’ is a single platform which uses GSM technology with the highly secure m-commerce method. “Knowing the pulse of the mobile consumers in Sri Lanka, we are indeed happy and delighted that now we are diversifying into high end value added services to mobile users together with mobile operators and banks.”
With ‘Zpay,’ customers are no longer required to carry cash or cards; they can just ‘dial and tap’ from the mobile and the payment is done. Users will be able to pay for goods and services and also recharge their prepaid mobile.

M-commerce and mobile payments are increasingly becoming more dynamic and popular, and thereby fulfilling the ever-demanding consumer need of convenience. ‘Zpay’ is leading the way in providing a mobile payment solution by utilising the strength of GSM technology in data transfer security and network medium availability.

Commenting on the uniqueness of ‘Zpay,’ Weerasooriya stated: “Our intention is to provide the best of breed bank led or mobile operator led payment solutions to Sri Lanka, using innovative technology. The ‘Zpay’ system provides powerful mobile payment and transaction solutions, enabling mobile operators, banks, financial institutions, and merchants to offer convenience, simplicity, and versatility, together with complete security and confidentiality in all value added services to customers. ‘Zpay’ is omnipresent and is compatible with all 15+ million mobile phones and handsets in the market today in Sri Lanka. Absolutely no change of mobile or stickers or SIM card change is required, unlike other solutions in the market. Now this is a compelling advantage and value for our partners. Our aim and our strategic intent are to provide long-term sustainable value for our business partners, consumers, and stakeholders by generating value for the Sri Lankan communities, by creating shared value for all.”
